Opening Day At The Orchard
It was a beautiful day --- sunny, windy and breezy with temperatures in the 50s. We had around 75-100 pickers today. We picked a total of 1,692 pounds, which is a great first day especially since the weather turned cold. We definitely still have a lot more pecans on the ground, and there are many more to fall. Considering our bumper crop last year and our drought this summer, we are still looking forward to a good crop this year. Our next date to be open is Thursday, November 1, from 9am-3pm. We hope to see you there!
