In the heart of our land in Mayflower, AR, sits Clark’s Pecan Grove, a 30 acre pecan orchard filled with a mixture of Paper Shell, Stuart, Desirable and Native pecan trees. Our 140 trees are 30 to 40 years old. Ten years ago we planted 60 Pawnee trees that are quickly developing. We open our orchard to the public in the latter part of October or early part of November for picking on the halves. Customers from the Central Arkansas area come pick pecans and are allowed to keep half of what they pick for free, but have the option to purchase more. After our first hard freeze, our trees become dormant and we begin the harvesting process. We sell pecans whole, cracked and shelled. At the end of the season, we take all our excess pecans to market for wholesale.

2016 Price List

Whole — $2.50/lb

Cracked — $3.00/lb

Shelled — $8.00/lb

This year, we will open to the public on the following dates:

November 2 — 9am-3pm

November 9 — 9am-3pm

November 12 — 9am-3pm

November 16 — 9am-3pm

Some of my friends and myself were looking at your website and were interesting in picking up some pecans. Do you think you are going to a good crop this year after the drought?

    • llee says:

      Hi Wanda,
Thank you for your inquiry, and we are sorry it took so long to respond! We expect to have a great crop this year. The orchard opens to the public this Saturday, October 27, at 9AM, for picking on the halves. We will be open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9AM-3PM beginning Thursday, November 1. Please bring your friends, and let us know if you have any questions!
      Thank you,

Lauren, to pick pecans is there anything we need to bring, like containers, etc., or are those provided? Thanks.

    • llee says:

      Hi Johnny,
We will provide pecan pickers and buckets. Feel free to bring a bucket or sack if you have one handy. Since it is opening day, it should be very busy! We wouldn’t want you to have to wait to pick because we ran out of buckets! We look forward to seeing you!

Do you have what’s referred to as paper shell pecans and are your pecans a mixture of sizes (large and small)?
